CTPA at the Newberry Library

Tuesday, April 14 from 10:00am-12:00pm

60 W Walton St

Founded in 1887, the Newberry Library is one of the country's few research libraries open to the public, and it is a tremendous resource for Chicago tour guides. In this special program, Newberry staff will:

  • Provide an orientation to the library, programs, and exhibitions,
  • Lead a tour of the building, and
  • Share a custom collection presentation emphasizing artifacts from Chicago's history.

If traveling by car, the nearest parking garage is located at 100 W Chestnut St. There is a discounted rate of $9 for eight hours that is available to Newberry visitors if you scan your QR code at the Newberry's security kiosk.

Capacity is limited to the first 20 registrants, and a waitlist will be enabled. If you can no longer attend the event, please cancel your own registration on the calendar tab of the CTPA website or through the WildApricot app. If you have any questions, please reach out to the event's organizer, CTPA member Mike McMains (mike@tourswithmike.com).

I hope you can join us at the Newberry Library for this special experience!
